Description

Go on an adventure around the Museum. Borrow an Explorer Backpack free of charge (ID deposit required) from the Central Hall information desk between 10.00am and 5.00pm daily.

Our Explorer Backpacks contain an activity booklet to help children make discoveries around the Museum galleries or they can simply get into the role of an explorer with the safari hat and binoculars. Suitable for families with children aged 7 years and under.

Choose from topics including primates, mammals, monsters, birds, oceans and nature in the Wildlife Garden.

There are cloakrooms in the Central Hall next to the North Hall Café and in the Red Zone by the Exhibition Road entrance to the Museum. Left luggage at the cloakrooms is charged according to weight. Members and children aged 3 and under can leave items for free (including folded pushchairs).

Over summer 2015 there is a new exhibition until September 2015 “Coral Reefs Secret Cities Under The Sea”
