Bank of England Museum

Bank of England Museum

The Bank of England Museum is a free museum near Bank Underground Station.

Our free Museum explains the Bank’s history and its work today at the centre of the economy. A number of our displays (including our interactive boat game and jigsaws) are suitable for our younger visitors. We also provide a series of age appropriate activity sheets which can be collected from the Information Desk on arrival. During the school holidays we run events specifically for children, information about which can be found in our What’s On Guide.

Most people take about an hour to look around the Museum.

Due to space constraints, the Museum does not have a café or restaurant. Toilet facilities (including a disabled lavatory) are available. There is also a small shop which sells a variety of souvenirs.

Please note that the Banknote Gallery is currently closed for refurbishment. The brand new gallery will be re-launching in Autumn 2016. Please check the website nearer the time for further updates.
